How we trade

Clear terms, independent verification and documents that stand up to any buyer's audit. This is how a trade with Wollaston Minerals works.

01

Lot sizes

A trial lot from 10 tonnes lets you qualify the material in your own process. Regular supply then moves in full container loads (FCL) of about 20 tonnes, on spot or term contracts.

02

Pricing

Concentrates are priced on contained metal: tungsten per metric tonne unit (MTU) of WO₃, usually referenced to published APT prices; antimony, tin and tantalum on their Sb, Sn or Ta₂O₅ content. Penalty elements and their limits are written into the contract. Ingots are priced per tonne against the relevant market reference.

03

Sampling and assay

An internationally recognised inspection company weighs and samples every lot at loading. Samples are split three ways: seller, buyer and umpire. If the two results differ by more than the agreed splitting limit, an independent umpire laboratory settles the assay.

04

Contracts

Spot contracts for single lots. Term contracts for regular monthly volumes. Offtake agreements with producers who want a committed outlet for their production.

05

Payment

First order: 30% deposit, with the 70% balance against documents. Following orders: irrevocable letter of credit (LC) or cash against documents (CAD), as agreed in the contract.

06

Delivery and documents

FOB at an African port, or CFR/CIF to the buyer's port. Every shipment travels with a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificates of analysis, weight and origin, and the export documents of the country of origin.
